Studio System 2

Desktop Metal's Studio System 2 metal 3D printer extrudes a metal filament (in rod form) to create the desired geometry. It does not require a step to remove the plastic binder that holds the metal powder in a filament (or the associated equipment) when printing with 316L stainless steel.
Studio System prints are transferred directly to the complementary furnace, which first heats the parts to remove all binders from them and then raises the temperature to nearly melting point to sinter them.
